How to Apply Online for WBMDFC Merit Cum Means Scholarship
for Technical / Professional Courses for Muslim Minority Students
Important Instruction for Online Application:
- Eligible students are to apply ONLINE at http://www.scholarships.gov.in
- Students must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal.
- Students having AADHAR number are advised to register with it, as preference will be given to AADHAAR seeded eligible students during disbursement. This will enable in directly crediting scholarship amount to student AADHAAR linked bank account through Aadhaar Payment Bridge in fast track mode.
- The bank account must be an active account number. One registration must be done with one bank account number. However, relaxation for two registrations is allowed for pre-matric application only.
- Student should have obtained minimum 50% marks in the last final examination.
- Students who are applying for the first time will have to submit application as FRESH candidate.
- One registration must be done with one mobile number. However, relaxation for two registrations is allowed for pre-matric application only. All communication will be made on this number.
- APPLICATION IN RECEIPT OF SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT LAST YEAR AND HAVING A PERMANENT ID MUST REPEAT MUST APPLY UNDER RENEWAL CATEGORY ONLY.
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship:-
- Students pursuing Under Graduate, Post Graduate Level of Professional / Technical Courses in recognized institutions under recognized Universities of West Bengal and other recognized Technical / Professional courses at Universities of other states of India having UDISE code are eligible to apply.
- Students may get full course fee in case of listed institution like IIT, IIM, NIT, NIFT, IIFT etc. (as per list of institutes available in www.wbmdfc.org).
- Student’s Annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.5 lakhs.
- May be required for uploading the original scanned documents.
- Students have to submit all relevant documents along with the print out of online application to the institution only.

For Renewal-31st July, 2017.
