How to Apply Online for OASIS Pre Metric and Post Metric Scholarship for SC ST and OBC Students

OASIS Pre Metric and Post Metric Scholarship Online Application for SC/ST and OBC Students:-

◙ Go to the website http://www.oasis.gov.in/  or http://www.anagrasarkalyan.gov.in/htm/home.html

► Click on “Apply Now” (located at the left side of the page) or “Student Registration” (at the right side of the page).

► Fill all the fields (such as primary details, photo, applied authority details) in the application form.
Note that: Photo is not mandatory at this stage.

Aadhar card number is not mandatory.

► Write your name, father’s/mother’s/husband’s name, gender, date of birth, caste, sub-caste, caste certificate no., issuing date and certificate issuing authority.
Select last class passed.
Year of passing.
Year of passing.
Select scholarship type (pre metric/post metric)

► Upload your photo.

► Write annual income of parent/guardian.

► Aadhar card no. (not mandatory).

► Select if you are studying outside of W.B.

► Select state, district, and block/municipality.

► Write your mobile number.

► Write your e-mail Id.

► Now type the verification code in the box at the bottom of the page.

► Check two fields to continue and click on “Submit” button.

Computer generated acknowledge slip will be generated. To download it click “Download Login Information/Acknowledge Slip”. Then a pdf file will be downloaded in your computer. Take a print out of it.

◙ Now go to the website again http://www.oasis.gov.in/

► Click “Registered Student’s login” option (located below the “Student’s Registration” link.

► Log in with the user id, password and district as mentioned in your Acknowledge Slip.

► Write the verification code and click on “Login” button.

Now fill the remaining part of the application form.

► Click on “Further Details” button and fill all the remaining fields. Click on “Save” button to save the information.

► Click on “Bank Information” button and select your bank name, bank branch and write your Bank account number and click on “Save Bank Info” button.

► Now check all the fields and make sure that you have filled all information correctly and click on “Verify and Lock” button.
Once you click on “Verify and Lock” button, you won’t be able to modify your details anymore.

► Click on “Print Application” and the click on “Download Application Form”. A computer generated filled in Application form will be downloaded on your computer. Print it.

◙ Applicants have to submit this computer generated filled in application form (duly signed and along with all necessary documents) to the concerned Block Development Officer (for Block area)/PO cum DWO/DWO (for municipal/corporation area).

Post Matric Scholarships for Scheduled Castes Students in India

Post Matric Scholarships for Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes Students in India:

Eligibility for Scholarships:

  1. The scholarships are open to nationals of India.
  2. These scholarships will be given for the study of all recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary courses pursued in recognized institutions.
  3. Candidates who after passing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in different subject e.g. I.Sc. after I.A. or B.Com. after B.A. or M.A. in other subject will not be eligible.
  4. Students who, after having completed their educational career in one professional line, e.g. L.L.B. after B.T./B.Ed. will not be eligible. From the academic year 1980-81, studies in two professional courses are allowed.
  5. Students studying in Class XI of the Higher Secondary School courses of the XII Class of the Multipurpose High School will not be eligible for it being a continuous school course. However, in cases where Xth class examination of such courses is treated as equivalent to Matriculation and students who after passing Xth class join other courses, such students will be treated as post-matric students and will be eligible for the award of scholarships.
  6. Students pursuing Post Graduate courses in medicine will be eligible if they are not allowed to practice during the period of their course.
  7. Students who after failing or passing the under graduate/post-graduate examinations in Arts/Science/Commerce join any recognised professional or Technical certificate/diploma/degree courses will be awarded scholarships if otherwise eligible. No subsequent failure will be condoned except courses in Group 'I'.
  8. Students who pursue their studies through correspondence courses are also eligible. The term correspondence includes distant and continuing education.
  9. Employed students whose income combined with the income of their parents/guardians does not exceed the maximum prescribed income ceiling are made eligible to post-matric scholarships to the extent of reimbursement of all compulsorily payable non-refundable fees.
  10. All children of the same parents/guardians will be entitled to receive benefits of the scheme.
  11. A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other scholarship/stipend. If awarded any other scholarship/stipend, the student can exercise his/her option for either of the two scholarships/stipends, whichever is more beneficial to him/her and should inform the awarding authority through the Head of the Institution about the option made.
  12. Scholarship holders who are receiving coaching in any of the pre-examination training centres with financial assistance from the Central Government/ State Government will not be eligible for stipend under the coaching schemes for the duration of the coaching programme.
Scholarships will be paid to the students whose parents/guardians' income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees two lakh only) per annum.

Young Researcher Award Scholarship from Lady Tata Memorial Trust

Young Researcher Award from Lady Tata Memorial Trust:

This Scheme is instituted by the Lady Tata Memorial Trust (LTMT) to recognize and reward young Indian scientists with outstanding track record in biological sciences, a deep commitment to find innovative solutions to major problems related to human diseases and potential for high quality research.

Introduction
This Scheme is instituted by the Trust to recognize and reward young Indian scientists, below the age of 40 years, with outstanding track record in biological sciences, a deep commitment to find innovative solutions to major problems related to human diseases and potential for high quality research. Applicants must have a regular position in a University / Organization / Institute in India and should be engaged in research and development and have publications arising from research done as an independent investigator in India.

The amount of Award will be Rs.25,000/- per month plus a contingency grant of Rs.5 lakhs per annum, in addition to the regular salary drawn from the host Institute.

ELIGIBILITY:

i)    The Award is open to Indian Nationals, residing in India, who are below the age of 40 years as on 31st March of the current year.

ii)      The applicant should possess a Ph.D. degree in any Biological Science or a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, or an equivalent degree in Biotechnology related areas. The applicant must have at least 4 years’ professional experience in the specific area after obtaining the above degree.

iii)    The candidate must have a regular position in a University / Organization / Institute in India.  He/she should be engaged in research and development and have publications arising from research done as an independent investigator in India. The awardee will be eligible for regular research grants through extramural and other research schemes of various S & T agencies of the Government of India.

Scholarship for Differently Abled PH Students in India

National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation provides scholarship/financial assistance to the differently-abled students for pursuing professional or technical courses from recognized institutes and get employed/self-employed.
To start with every year 1000 scholarships will be provided to the differently-abled students throughout the country for only one course at a time.
30% scholarships will be reserved for girls, which will be transferable to male students in case of non-availability of female candidates.
             
Financial assistance will be given to pursue degree and/or post graduate level technical and professional courses from a recognized institution. Maintenance, book/stationary allowance and grant for purchase of assistive devices will be credited to the student's account.
Students who pursue their education through correspondence would also be eligible for the scholarship.

R D Sethna Scholarship Fund provides Loan Scholarship to Indian students for higher Studies:-

Loan Scholarship for Studies:-

The R D Sethna Scholarship Fund grants only loan scholarships to students who are citizens of India, regardless of community, caste or creed.

Loan scholarships are granted to enable students to undertake scientific, technical, industrial or commercial studies in India and overseas on the condition that they are repayable with interest in terms of the agreement and other documents required to be entered into and executed by applicants and their male guarantors.

Applications for loan scholarships are invited by the Trust from 1st April each year. The last date for receiving applications for overseas studies is 31 May and for local studies is 31st August each year. Only successful applicants will be informed of the grant, and no intimation will be given to unsuccessful applicants.
